Claustrophobia As A Corollary To Existential Terror
This is an evolving post...
double star for this one. the claustrophobia dreams i’ve had (cement hallway, elevator in basement with little window) really feel more like existential terror than they do like fear of small spaces.
Couldn’t this work in the other direction, as well? That the feeling of claustrophobia is really just a corollary for fear of death (probably true of all phobias), immobility, suffocation, etc. I guess one evokes the other evokes the other evokes the other.
