Brain Tricks Itself Into Not Being A Brain

Mon, Dec 30, 2013 at 2:44AM - The brain tricks itself into thinking it’s not a thing by generating endless amounts of complexity. Like a fractal. As soon as you look at one spot and think you have it figured out you realize that it is built out of and surrounded by a bunch of additional complexity. It does this as an illusion for self-preservation.
